Provoke was engaged to assist FMG with, in the first instance, a pilot programme to deploy Microsoft's unified communications platform, Lync, to approximately 180 FMG employees. The pilot tested instant messaging (IM), internal voice calls, video calling and screen sharing across all existing devices.
The pilot allowed for the deployment to be trialled and tested before a full roll out. The benefits became apparent immediately and Lync was deployed country-wide to 480 devices across the organization. The solution increased cost-effective peer-to-peer calling capabilities and reduced telephony costs for FMG.
